House History:

The original design and construction of the home was completed in 1964. Beverly, D. Thorne, the architect best known for the Dave Brubeck Residence and Case Study House #26 collaborated with the owners on the design as a testament to Frank lloyd Wright's design principles of simplicity, geometry and integration with the site for openess and indoor-outdoor flow. After the devastation of the 1991 firestorm, only the massive central concrete chimney remained. But by 1994, again in collaboration with Bevery Thorne, the owners had rebuilt and returned to the steel reinfoced reincarnation of the post and beam home they had built thrity years before.
